We produce ethanol from agricultural origin in our facilities in the port of Patras, Greece. BGS Alcohols is the only licensed production company in Greece and our 96-proof alcohol is certified for use in the food and beverage industry. The strict production processes and constant quality control ensure high-quality standards across the manufacturing and logistics chain: production, storage and distribution. BGS Alcohols S.A. covers a wide range of customer needs:

• Pure alcohol for distillery, pharmaceutical and food uses

We collaborate with a wide range of pure alcohol customers, as well as winemakers, wine merchants and spirits merchants. Our products are exported to many countries and our customer network exceeds 300 companies domestically and across Europe.

Wine distillates, tsipouro and ouzo are some of Greece’s traditional spirits. We produce the above at a high quality and at significant quantity. Our competitive advantage is drawn from the careful selection of raw materials used.

Aged wine distillate (brandy) is the crown product of BGS Alcohols S.A. recognized over many decades for its supreme aroma and taste.

In this century, the company has significantly expanded its range of products, which now includes international alcoholic beverages such as vodka and gin.

Our cooperation with the best vineyards in Achaia and the strict selection of quality grapes results in the production of refined wines, like the white Roditis and Moschato, as well as the leading PDO Mavrodaphne of Patras under the name NYX.

Mavrodaphne (PDO Patras) is the leading fortified sweet wine in Greece. The long extraction phase and a minimum two years of aging in 150ltr barrels, delivers a sweet wine with a rich velvety taste which brings to mind mature fruits and sweet spices.
